Proposal leads to Wedding which leads to...
I chose the event the Running of the Brides that takes place twice a year, hosted by Filene's Basement, in Boston. This is one of the HUGE events that the wedding industry provides to brides to be (or maybe just dress hoarders).
I intend on looking at the newspapers based in Boston, Filene's Basement website, and any websites pertaining to Boston in general. The Running of the Brides is a very intense and nationally known event. I mean, it's pretty crazy but truth be told I know friends who have gone through that havoc just to get a dress they wanted.
The reason I've chosen this topic is because I really love weddings, everything about them. There's actually a sociology class taught at TCU based on the wedding industry, I'll probably be taking that eventually. Anyways, that's a really big topic and kind of overwhelming but I definitely wanted to do something from that. Amanda helped me come to the idea of Filene's Basement Running of the Brides, for that I am thankful, and it is officially my topic. So to say, I'm married to it.

Audrey-
I think that there are going to be a plethora of sources to use for this topic. I think that it is very interesting that this event is offered two times a year (that alone could be a very intersting paragraph). Don't worry about feeling overwhelmed, because after you find your sources and use that analysis thing I am sure you will be fine. Good luck.

Excellent topic, Audrey. I'm glad you came up with something you really like! I'm looking forward to seeing what you find!
